What is a Reiki Lifestyle?
Living a Reiki Lifestyle is ultimately about living a life of joy. My vision is to create a global Reiki community of people who support each other and Reiki as a way to make the world a better place.
Reiki is such a practical life management tool, it can be used by anyone, it is easy to learn, it works in the busiest of lives and it works in the stillness. Reiki tools provide healing during stressful life challenges, and it aligns us with our most innovative creative selves so that we can manifest the life we want.
Living a Reiki Lifestyle can be a spiritual practice. Reiki is not a religion, but the word Reiki means, “spiritually guided life force energy.” A Reiki lifestyle can assist people in living in the light of joy.
My dream is that Reiki becomes so mainstream that children around the world can grow up with Reiki as part of their daily lives for healing and empowerment. Perhaps they might even want to be a professional Reiki practitioner. Can you imagine a world where this is an opportunity for our children?
Nature is always in harmony; nature doesn’t judge, label, or distinguish. Nature flows, and is therefore about becoming natural. We have lost our natural ways, hiding them underneath all our pretending, our masks, our attachments, our fears, and our worries. Thus, to become natural again we need to let go of these layers and let our True Nature, our True Self, our Reiki, shine.
Reiki can be interpreted in many ways, depending on our state of consciousness.
We can also see Reiki as a spiritual path, it is not a religion, it does not set any rigid rules or requires that we follow rituals of some sort or sit down for hours focusing on our mind. Reiki, like any good and genuine spiritual practice, supports people in the exploration of their inner world, bringing to the surface limitations, skills, abilities, potential, beliefs and helping them to evolve on their personal and spiritual path.
Reiki does not require that we study, memorise or meditate for hours. We are only asked to make ourselves available as conduits for the energy and trust that Reiki will work for the greatest good of the person we are working with, or for our own greatest good. This means that we detach from the result, as Reiki is an intelligent and spiritual energy that knows exactly what we need. When we start ‘directing’ the energy with our thoughts, beliefs and emotions, our ego gets in the way and interferes with the process. Consequently, results are affected by our intervention.
Reiki is a lifestyle, a way of living. The more we open ourselves to the infinite power, the more it helps to go deeper into our inner world, releasing limitations and personal beliefs that slow us down or even block us in our lives.
Warning Signs Your Chakras Are Out of Balance
Physical imbalances in the root chakra include problems in The legs, feet, rectum, tailbone, immune system, male reproductive parts, and prostate gland. Those with imbalances here are also likely to experience issues of degenerative arthritis, knee pain, sciatica, eating disorders, and constipation.
Emotional imbalances include: Feelings affecting our basic survival needs: money, shelter and food; ability to provide for life’s necessities.

Physical imbalances include sexual and reproductive issues, urinary problems, kidney dysfunctions, and hip, pelvic, and low back pain.
Emotional imbalances include our commitment to relationships. Our ability to express our emotions. Our ability to have fun and play is based on desires, creativity, pleasure, and sexuality.
Fears of impotence, betrayal, addictions.
When this chakra is balanced, we have the ability to take risks, we are creative, and we are committed. We are passionate, sexual, and outgoing.
The lesson of this chakra is to honour others.
Solar Plexus Chakra
Physical imbalances include digestive problems, liver dysfunction, chronic fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, stomach ulcers, pancreas and gallbladder issues, and colon diseases.
Emotional imbalances include issues of personal power and self-esteem, and our inner critic comes out. Fears of rejection, criticism, and physical appearance.
When this chakra is balanced, we feel self-respect and self-compassion. We feel in control, assertive, and confident.
The lesson of this chakra is self-acceptance.
Physical imbalances include asthma, heart disease, lung disease, issues with breasts, lymphatic systems, upper back and shoulder problems, and arm and wrist pain.
Emotional imbalances include issues of the heart; over-loving to the point of suffocation, jealousy, abandonment, anger, and bitterness. Fear of loneliness.
When this chakra is balanced we feel joy, gratitude, love and compassion; forgiveness flows freely, and trust is gained.
The lesson of this chakra is I Love.
Physical imbalances include thyroid issues, sore throats, laryngitis, ear infections, ulcers, any facial problems (chin, cheek, lips, tongue problems), and neck and shoulder pain.
Emotional imbalances include issues of self-expression through communication, both spoken and written. Fear of no power or choice. No willpower or being out of control.
When this chakra is balanced, we have free flowing of words, expression, and communication. We are honest and truthful yet firm. We are good listeners.
The lesson of this chakra is to speak up and let your voice be heard.
Third Eye Chakra
Physical imbalances include headaches, blurred vision, sinus issues, eyestrain, seizures, hearing loss, and hormone function.
Emotional imbalances include issues with moodiness, volatility, and self-reflection; An inability to look at one's own fears and to learn from others. Day-dream often and live in a world with exaggerated imagination.
When this chakra is balanced we feel clear, focused, and can determine between truth and illusion. We are open to receiving wisdom and insight.
The lesson of this chakra is to see the big picture.
Physical imbalance includes depression, inability to learn, and sensitivity to light, sound, and environment.
Emotional imbalances include issues with self-knowledge and greater power. Imbalances arise from rigid thoughts on religion and spirituality, constant confusion, carry prejudices, and “analysis paralysis.” Fear of alienation.
When this chakra is balanced, we live in the present moment. We have an unshakeable trust in our inner guidance.
The lesson of this chakra is live mindfully.

If someone is suffering from chronic anxiety or depression, one of the common questions I ask is how do you FEEL, that is an emotion-based question. Based on that I do invite exploration of a client's emotions. This is why emotional healing is also necessary. Reiki healing can be one of them.

The Reiki session also allows you to bring about a beneficial shift in your attention. When we're feeling anxious, it's usually all we can focus on. The act of moving out of narrow, stressed attention is like relaxing a fist that's been clenched for years. In fact, we hold tension, emotions, and chronic anxiety in the body's muscles, and these are released during a Reiki session. After the session, I ask clients to notice any changes as their minds and body continue to rebalance over the next few days or even weeks.

Physical shifts, such as more restful sleep or a more relaxed feeling in the body.
Mental/emotional shifts, such as feeling calmer in stressful situations or feeling more focused.
Spiritual shifts, such as feeling more grounded or intuitive.
